I agree, considered the quality of the effect work in general, I'm not sure why those rear projection shots slipped through.David Bjerrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08187913093957441894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097599682335202574.post-24772533221038515172012-08-05T16:40:44.092+02:002012-08-05T16:40:44.092+02:00I have to say I completely agree with you, my feel...I have to say I completely agree with you, my feelings are exactly the same: it's absurdly silly (it's arguably when Bond completely jumped the shark and became Carry On 007) but it's also hugely entertaining! A friend of mine is a Bond nut while I'm a bit of a visual effects buff, so when you write "...can I just point out how appallingly bad the rear projection shots are in the Bond movies?" I can only say that he and I have discussed this on more than one occasion over the years! The stunt work is incredible and the miniature effects (courtesy of the late great Derek Meddings) are superb, but the rear projection/bluescreen is just... Well, bloody awful.McToddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06468907025988134640noreply@blogger.com
