Special Editions That Never Were: Poltergeist

INT. THE MAN CAVE - AFTERNOON

Too many films these days get an inferior treatment on Bluray or DVD.

Sometimes it's because it just doesn't make sense, from a financial point of view, to create an expensive multi-disc special edition, but I fear the reason is also that the Bluray and DVD companies simply have no idea what they should include on a proper release.

So, to help these poor souls I now present MY proposal for a special edition of the classic Spielberg-produced Poltergeist (1982).

Now, I realize that this is a rather expensive proposal, but sometimes you gotta do what's right, and not worry about the bottom-line.

FINAL THOUGHTS

And there you have it.

Dear MGM, Warner or whoever the hell owns the rights, is it really too much to ask for a thorough special edition of one of the best 80's movies ever? Please feel free to use any ideas here, completely free of charge. In fact, feel free to copy this verbatim, without giving me any credit or compensation whatsoever.

The only compensation I need is a super cool special edition of Poltergeist right here in my hand.
